Learn to Row

Learn to Row on Hold!

The BRC learn to row course is currently full and has an extensive waiting list - we have now placed the application process 'on hold' until the waiting list drops to a manageable level. Thankyou all for your fantastic enthusiasm and we apologise for the inconvenience. In the meantime, Rowing NSW maintains a list of current learn to row courses here.

Balmain Rowing Club conducts "Learn to Row" courses twice a year. Generally these courses are held in March/April and September/October.

The courses are conducted at our club house on Sunday mornings, over 6-8weeks. They normally start around 8.00am and run for about two hours.

Each course is limited to a maximum of 16 participants ensuring that the pupil/teacher ratio is never greater than 4/1. To take part you need to be a minimum of 14 years of age, be able to swim and be healthy enough to participate in moderate to hard physical exercise.
