Hi All,

Our next Try Rowing day is coming up on Sunday 17th April. The day is aimed at letting kids between 13 and 18 try out the sport on a no expectations basis. The day runs for about 4.5 hours and includes two sessions on the water

You can find a flyer for the day here: http://balmainrowingclub.com/try-rowing-day.pdf

I must note that this is not a replacement for Learn to Row, but instead focuses on a once off session. As such we are unfortunately very limited in our ability to take people on as full members after the course. We hope that this is still a good way for kids to try the sport, have fun and keep fit over the holidays!

Applications are now open via http://balmainrowingclub.com/tryrowing, and more information is also available on that page.

We have received lots of applications for the May/June 2011 Learn to Row course and unfortunately we have not been able to fit in everyone who applied. For those that missed out, the next course is expected to be run in september/October 2011 and a notice will be issued when applications for that course open.

In addition we are running a Try Rowing Day for 13 to 18 year olds in mid April. Applications for this will open very shortly and again a notice will be sent out via email to let you know more details and how to apply.

Applications are now open for the first Learn to Row course in 2011. The dates (weather permitting) will be May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and June 5, 11, 18 (mini regatta to be held on the last date) and the course cost is $300. There are limited spaces available, so if you are interested in attending the course please send an email to Peter or Hamina at learntorow@balmainrowingclub.com.
Balmain Rowing Club is holding a 'Try Rowing' Day for juniors aged between 13 and 18. This is the perfect opportunity for kids to try out the sport, have a lot of fun and keep fit and healthy during the holidays.

The day is to be held on the 20th December and  is a 5 hour course running from either 7:30 till 12:30 or 9 till 2 depending on your time slot, and will be followed by a BBQ at the club open to family and friends.

The cost of the day is only $40 and includes a supporter membership to the club, morning tea and lunch.
The September 2010 learn to row program is full. The next program will be held April-May next year. A notice will be put out here when applications open for the next program so make sure you've got your name down on the list so that you are notified and have joined the queue.
There are currently no notifications as we have not run a learn to row since the launch of this website.

We are hoping to run the next learn to row mid September so put your name and email down on the right hand side and we'll let you know when we open up applications!
