125 years ago this year a group of men gathered at Dick’s Hotel Balmain and proposed the idea that a rowing club be formed at White Horse Point, Balmain and be known as Balmain Rowing Club. With much blood, sweat, toil and tears that Club became a reality. On September the 8th, at 7pm Balmain will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary, at the Balmain Leagues Club, Victoria Road, Rozelle.
