Balmain Rowing Club's Fleet - 1896

The Balmain Rowing Club are adding to their fleet by having two new club skiffs built. The work is entrusted to Mr. W. Goulding, boatbuilder of Balmain, whose skill in this respect is well-known and acknowledged. The number of new members enrolled has made this step absolutely necessary, and when the order is complete the club will be in possession of the finest fleet in the harbor. Within the last year two new fours, two new pairs, and two new skiffs have been added to the stock, which speaks very well for the financial position of the club. The crews are training very consistently for the coming regattas and the coaches are working hard to achieve success.
