A great time was had by all at the BRC Comedy Night held on 6 November at the club.
The comedy line up included Sam Bowring, MC with Jazz Twemlow, Gearard McGeown and feature act, Mick Merideth who had us all rolling around with his laconic delivery and tales of Blacktown Rowing Club!
Juliette and Victoria did an amazing job organising with their team of helpers. Thanks to Rose, Jacquie, Suzanne, Melita, Beverley, Anthea, Polly, Maria and Linda Bell for the fabulous food that included slow cooked pork shoulder, home made homos and tabouli, coleslaw and cheese and fruit platters. Juliette & Melita decorated the hall and Owen, Kim, Cassie and Nick worked the bar. Thanks also to Marta, Ann and Nelson Vineyards for their donations to the silent auction. About 110 people came along and the event raised $5000 for the club so a great effort all round.
