East Wing Tiger Trivia Fundraiser a Huge Success!

On Friday 26 February, the BRC Masters Men & Novice (MM&N) Squad, hosted a Tiger Trivia fundraiser for the new East Wing of the boat shed. Over 110 people enjoyed a fun filled night and the event raised $3180.

The whole Squad did a fantastic job, but special thanks must go to Matthew Braithwaite-Young, Nick MacDonald, David Virtue, and our fantastic caterer Joey.

The Noonan table (headed by club legends Geoff and Daniel) won the event ...but only after a cliff-hanger of a tie-breaker following a shock final-round tie!

The MM&N Squad has grown significantly in the past six months and, now regularly has three quad sculls on the water at training. We have seen many people within the club return to rowing along with several new members. By having the Masters Men and Novice Squads together, we have the unique ability to utilize the years of experience of the Masters to assist those new to the sport.

The MM&N Squad aims to continue to grow and to provide a positive rowing environment for all within. The Squad is also intent on providing a group of people willing to get involved and show positive support for the future of this proud club.

What’s next?

The MM&N squad would like to challenge another squad in the club to put on a fundraising night in the next quarter. Will it be your squad? Can you beat $3,180?
