Tigers show their true colours at Back to Balmain Day

The forecast thunderstorms held off for the annual Back to Balmain Day in Elkington Park on Sunday 30 October. The Tiger community spirit was on display at the BBQ, drinks and cake stall and the 1 minute erg challenge proved a popular attraction.

The cash raffle, organised by Nick and Owen over the past few weeks, was drawn with one of our members kindly donating their winnings back to the club's building project. The raffle also raised $2500 in ticket sales which will go towards the purchase of new boats.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to make the day such a success! The stall made a profit of $1400. A special thank you to all the younger club members and their parents and siblings who turned up to help, to Darling Street Meats for supplying sausages at a discounted rate and to everyone who baked such a wonderful array of cakes. Special thanks also to Juliette for co-ordinating everyone and ensuring the day ran smoothly.
