It was perfect racing conditions at SIRC for the Trickett Regatta, 8-9 April and BRC was well represented.
Congratulations Caitlin Jeffries and Michaela Franz for winning gold In the WD2x.
In the MD1x Eoghan Kilbridge raced well in a large competitive field. He won his heat, came second in the semi final and was just unlucky to miss out on a medal, finishing 5th in the final.
Our junior girls competing in the WD4x finished second in their heat and also narrowly miss out on a medal finishing 4th in their final.
Congratulations to all our para rowers: Caitlin, Ruby, Kevin, James, Nikolai, Tahli and Zarni. Some fine performances and podium finishes. Thanks to the mens open squad for partnering with our paras in the doubles, giving them a cracking row.
The Trickett regatta is the pinnacle club championship Regatta for NSW. Balmain placed 2nd in the overall points score thanks to great results, most notably from our para athletes. This is very important for our club standing in the annual rankings because Trickett points are multiplied by 3!
