Sunday 25 March was designated a "social" in the spirit of many events captured in the club minute books ie a social gathering at the club for no special reason apart from the enjoyment of each others company. Now in improved surroundings, a little light music, and the launch of a few boats (whilst trying to rid the store room stock).
Special guests included Chris Jolly, Maree Ryan (wife of Mick), Patricia Swanson (wife of Keith) and Sandra Hunt (wife of Richard)- look for the boats in the club.
Four single sculls were launched to celebrate the contribution of women to the club- the Renate Ipjma, Janine Lippi, Anne Pham and to acknowledge the contribution and passing of a former club champion Des Kelly
The day was rounded out with a social group photo (thank you Michael Kemp) of members in yellow followed by more conversation and swimming off the pontoon. A great day was had by all.
