A record six crews from Balmain went to Melbourne this year to complete in the 61st Head of the Yarra. The 8km winding course from the boathouses opposite Federation Square to Hawthorn Rowing Club is a true test of preparation, strength, endurance and the coxswain ability to manage other crews, the winding course and 11 bridges. BRC recorded a number of personal bests and the weekend was rounded off with dinner (and dancing!) at The Crafty Squire. Thanks to those who participated in organising the event and to Glebe rowing club in assisting with logistics.
