Balmain Rowing Club Regatta

The sun was shining and the wind held off right until the end. With high school rowers joining the regatta for the first time there were a record number of entries - 324 athletes over 43 events with 317 entries.

There were wins, capsizes and boats off course but, everyone had a good time and the day saw some hot competition across all the races. Balmain walked away with medals in the grade 8+ races for men and women and, 2nd and 3rd places in singles and double races.

Of course, we can't do any of this without our BRC volunteers who kept everything ticking over - from lunch provision, course setting, driving umpires around to picking capsized rowers out of the water. - thank you! And, of course, thank you to Rowing NSW and the BROs of the day for helping us put on such a successful regatta.
