As Balmain Rowing Club prepares for a committee meeting this evening at Dick's Hotel, it's interesting that on this day, 7th June 1882, 139 years ago, a group of gentlemen met for a meeting at Dick's Hotel where it was resolved “That a club be formed and styled The Balmain Rowing Club”.
