Held in perfect conditions, eights racing kicked off the new season with the first of the Iron Cove Classic (ICC) series, hosted by Balmain Rowing Club from its shiny new shed.
Balmain entered two crews, the mens masters and the mixed masters eight. The men got around the course the fastest in their division in a time of 26.28. Whilst the mixed crew put in a credible time of 31.00, assisted by the inclusion of mother and son pair in seats 3&4 (it doesn't get better than that).
Just two more outings before HOTY.
