Lynette Skelton on her 80th birthday with flowers sent from Balmain Rowing club. Lynette was the leading force behind the Balmain Women's Rowing club who eventually merged with Balmain Rowing club in the early 1980's. She was the first woman in 100 years to be elected onto BRC committee. Lynette is in an aged care facility in Auckland, New Zealand. We were told by her carer "I have hung in her room some of her 400 and so medals of which she is so justifiably proud". Lynette was thrilled to be remembered and to receive flowers from BRC for her 80th birthday, we also sent her a photo album of memories of her time at BRC. Best wishes Lynette!
