On November 17th, life member, Hans Hefer and partner Nell paid a unannounced visit to the club to view the completed building works and have a catch up.
As well as providing national level coaching at the club, Hans provided the steel work necessary for the balcony area reconstruction around the time of the club's centenary. Some of which has survived
into the new renovation. Hans was impressed with the height of the boat shed (before you could bump your head on the roof beams) and the size of staging area. Nell was impressed by the feel of the hall where “many happy events” had taken place. We wish them well and look forward to their return at the official club opening day.
